Site prep and grading rarely stand alone. For most new construction projects, excavation comes first to remove material and rough in the grade before the detailed work begins. Land clearing may be needed beforehand if the site has trees or heavy vegetation. Once grading is complete, hydro-seeding stabilizes exposed soil and establishes grass on areas that won’t be built on. Driveway installation and landscaping are common finishing steps once the site is prepared and the build is underway or complete.
