Davis & Company provides professional excavation services in Perry, Howell, Brighton, Lansing, and throughout Mid-Michigan. Residential, commercial, and agricultural. Free estimates.
Excavation is the foundation of a lot of different projects — sometimes literally. Whether you’re digging for a foundation, installing a septic system, improving drainage on your property, constructing a pond, or preparing the ground for any number of other projects, the work has to be done correctly the first time. Cutting corners on excavation creates problems that are expensive to fix later.
Davis & Company has been providing excavation services across Mid-Michigan since 2015. We work on residential properties, farms, and commercial sites throughout Perry, Howell, Brighton, Fenton, Lansing, and the surrounding region. We use the right equipment for the scope of the job and take the time to understand the site before we start digging.
Our excavation work covers a broad range of applications. Common projects we handle include:
A family-owned company delivering reliable excavation, land clearing, and property services across Mid-Michigan since 2015.
Built on hands-on experience and long-term relationships, serving the community with consistent, reliable work.
Trusted by farmers, contractors, homeowners, and commercial property managers for a wide range of projects.
We assess every job clearly, use the right equipment, and follow through until the work is fully complete.
Financing is available through our partner platform—just ask when you call or submit a request.
Excavation is often just the beginning. Once the ground is broken, most projects move into site prep and grading to get the surface level and ready for whatever comes next. If the work is near a driveway or access road, culvert installation may also be needed to make sure drainage is handled correctly. On sites that are being developed from raw land, land clearing typically happens before or alongside excavation work. And once the ground is disturbed, hydro-seeding is a common follow-on to establish grass and prevent erosion while the site stabilizes.
We serve residential homeowners, farmers, and commercial property owners and developers. Excavation needs vary significantly between these client types, and we’re comfortable working across all of them. For larger commercial projects, we have the capacity and equipment to handle the scope.
You deal directly with our team — not a call center. When you reach out, you’re speaking to the people doing the work.
We come out to the property, evaluate the site in person, and understand exactly what the job requires.
We provide straightforward pricing based on what’s actually needed — no padding, no overselling, no surprises.
We show up with the right equipment for the job and handle the work properly, including any unexpected challenges along the way.
We’re based in Perry, Michigan, and regularly serve clients in Howell, Brighton, Fenton, Linden, Flushing, Lansing, Okemos, and the surrounding Mid-Michigan region. Not sure if we come to you? Give us a call and we’ll let you know.
We work on a wide range of excavation projects — foundations, trenching for utilities or septic systems, drainage work, pond construction, and demolition. If you have something specific in mind, just give us a call and we can let you know whether it’s in our wheelhouse.
Yes. We work with homeowners, farmers, and commercial property owners throughout Mid-Michigan. The equipment and approach scale with the job.
If you’re putting up a structure of any kind — from a pole barn to a full foundation — some form of site preparation or excavation is almost always required. We can come take a look and tell you what the ground situation calls for before you commit to anything.
It depends heavily on the scope and site conditions. A full foundation excavation or pond dig could take several days. We’ll give you a realistic timeline when we come out for the estimate.
That’s something we discuss as part of the estimate. Some projects have fill that needs to go, others allow for redistribution on-site. We’ll cover that when we walk the job.
We understand that outdoor and site work can be a significant investment. We do offer financing options — ask us about it when you reach out and we’ll walk you through what’s available.
